He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Luhman and Bernard Luhman; his sister Betty Carlson; his granddaughter Lindsey Luhman; and his stepson Kenny Benson.
He is survived by: his former wives, Ada McCalla and Mary Kennedy Benson; his wife Rose Sittig Nickelson; his children, Scott, Dan (Kelly) and Brenda Zackrison (Tim); his stepchildren, Doug Benson (Kathy), Terry Benson, Rick Benson, Tim Nickelson (Joleen), Theresa Goldsmith (Bill), Steve Nickelson (Suzanne), Doug Nickelson and Maggi Anderson (Derek); his grandchildren, Courtney, Tyler, Jordan, Haley, Molly, Cora, Brady, Alexandra, Sheila, Cheryl, Kaylee, Joe, Nick, Aaron, Aubrey and Emma; his great grandchildren, Calix, Paxon, Mason, Feliza, Ava, Vito and Zion; and his siblings, Elaine Stueven, Sandy Engel and David Luhman (Connie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
