He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufino Ramirez and Jacinta Ramirez; and his siblings, Raul Ramirez, Rufino Ramirez, Jr., Luz Martinez and Jovita Barbosa.
He is survived by: his wife Francisca V. Ramirez of Weslaco, TX; his children, Hilda Pena (Roy), Angie Herrera (Pablo), Romeo Ramirez, Jr. (Norma) and Ramiro Ramirez (Maricruz); and his brother Rolando Ramirez. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Mr. Ramirez was recognized for his dedicated service to the children of the Texas Lions Camp, as well as for his humanitarian services towards the Lions Club International Foundation.
