It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria A. Banda of Weslaco, Texas, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mauricio Patino and Felipa Castro Patino; and her children, Daniel Banda and Martha Alvarado. She is survived by: her husband Feliciano Banda; her children, Janie Banda of Weslaco, Frank Banda (Isabel) of Pharr, Mary Montelongo, Sara Jimenez (Francisco) of Weslaco and Eliud Banda (Yvette) of Weslaco; and her sister Rosa Maria Alvarado. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
