The passing of Loretta Adell Barbee of Weslaco, Texas, born in Detroit, Michigan leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 21, 2024 at the age of 96. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Barbee; her parents, Dr. Ferdinand Chenik and Josephine Chenik; and her siblings, Richard Ferdinand Chenik and Viola Chenik Rohe.
She is survived by: her children, William Terry Barbee (Joella) and Susan Barbee McClure (late Charles "Mac"); her grandchildren, Brent Barbee (Candice), Tracy Barbee Bullion (Miles), John McClure (Mary) and Jesse Bishop; and her great grandchildren, Mrinal Alfred, Kaladon Barbee, Sadie, Emily Bullion, Lila, Luke and Samuel McClure. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCaleb Funeral Home (900 W 4th St, Weslaco, TX 78596). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Weslaco Cemetery (425 Academy Dr, Weslaco, TX 78596).
