He is survived by: his children, Reena and Rene Omar; his grandchildren, Oliver, Sebastian, JonSky Crawford and Xanthiago Rene Luera; and his sisters, Lina Luera of Weslaco, Rosa Garza of Mercedes and Elia Mora of Weslaco.
