It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Lamas of Weslaco, Texas, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicolas Lamas and Maximina Valdez Lamas; and his sisters, Teresa and Eduvina Lamas. He is survived by: his wife Zelma; his daughters, Priscilla Ramos (AJ "Aldo") of San Antonio and Chantell Lamas of Austin; his siblings, Jesus Lamas of Weslaco, Fernando Lamas (Gracie) of Santa Rosa, Ignacio Lamas of Weslaco, Cruz Lamas "Cuni" of Laguna Vista, Maria Ramos (Primitivo "Junior") of Alliance, NE and Lucia Valenzuela of Weslaco; and his siblings-in-law, Maggie Lamas of Weslaco and Rafael Valenzuela of Weslaco. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and is expecting his first grandson.
Due to COVID-19, the family asks that you practice CDC social distancing guidelines, please wear masks at ALL times, and refrain from having any physical contact with the family (hugging, kissing, shaking hands…etc.).
