It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Wilberding (Weslaco, Texas), born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on March 17, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Wilberding and Nuala Wilberding (Byrne); his former wife Verna Wilberding; the mother of his children Kay Beinborn; his siblings, Byrne "Bing" Wilberding, Kenneth Wilberding (Annabel), David Wilberding and June Schmitz (Mickey); and his granddaughter Jami Lynn Wilberding.
He is survived by: his spouse Kay Altenburg; his son Steve Wilberding (Dayna); his grandchildren, Michael Wilberding (Tiffany) and Mark Wilberding (Jinni); his sons, Matt Wilberding (Kasey), Ben Wilberding (Janet) and James Wilberding (Julie); his grandchildren, Tyler, Logan and Lexie Wilberding; his daughter Mary Gruel (Greg); his grandchildren, Sarah, Hunter and Molly Gruel; his stepchild Brenda Lydon (Mike); his sons, Cameron, Jordan, Logan, Josh Bottomley (Angie) and Justin Merkes; his sister Jane Ann Gundlach; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Wilberding and Pat Wilberding.
