He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dyer and Jeffie Dyer; his siblings, James Dyer, Ray Dyer, Billie Ruth Brandt and Francis Gerard; and his son Jeffery Ray Dyer.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Whitaker of Weslaco; his children, Roxie Blood (Bobby), Tad Dyer (Heather Womble) and Jonah Dyer; his grandsons, Cody, Wyatt Blood, Ethan, Jack and Logan Dyer; and his sister Mary Jackson (Dale) of Farmington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
