She was predeceased by: her parents, Uvaldo Rivera and Antonia Rivera; her husband Higinio Lopez, Jr.; and her siblings, Eubaldo Rivera, Severo Rivera, Avelina Rodriguez, Minerva Muñiz and Olga Ybarra.
She is survived by: her children, Veronica Lopez (Chris) of Weslaco, TX, Maria Gonzalez (Andrew) of Weslaco, TX, Eddieneyo Lopez (Sara) and Eduardo Lopez; and her siblings, Roberto Rivera (Magdalena) of Round Rock, Yolanda Galan of Gun Barrel, TX, Rosa Villanueva (Manuel) of Mercedes, TX, Juana Garces, Graciela Juarez and Nora Balderas. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
