He is survived by: his significant other Anita Abeldano; his children, Elma Gamez Zamora (Eddie), Guadalupe "Lupe" Gamez Jr., Jose "Joe" Gamez (Lucy) and Dahlia "Yaya" Gamez Rodriguez (Joe); his grandchildren, Carlos Zamora, Michael Lee Zamora (Amanda), Denise Gamez, Pablo Gamez, Danielle Rae Gamez, Joseph Gamez, Alyssa Gamez, Yvonne Tristan (Chris), Kassie Rodriguez, Jennifer Rodriguez and Lori Rodriguez; his brothers, Natividad Gamez (Petra), Ignacio "Nacho" Gamez Jr., Daniel Gamez and Jesus Gamez; and his brother-in-law Demencio Sauceda. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, and nieces.
