He was predeceased by: his grandfather Jose Mario Alaniz; and his uncles, Jonathan "Johnny" Limas and Richard "Ricky" Limas. He is survived by: his parents, Gerardo Sr. Alaniz and Cassandra Alaniz; his grandparents, Snowy Limas, Roel Limas (Carolyn) and Anna Maria Alaniz; his siblings, Samantha Cuellar, Aaron M. Alaniz, Kevin Alaniz, Dr. Servando "Trey" Cuellar III, Kayla Alaniz and Diego Alaniz; and his nieces, Carlee Roman, Caydee Roman and Allison Johnny Moore.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:45 PM at the McCaleb Funeral Home (900 W 4th St, Weslaco, TX 78596). A rosary was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (600 S Oklahoma Ave, Weslaco, TX 78596). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sacred Park Cemetery (12506 Mile 2 W, Mercedes, TX 78570, USA).
