It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelia Masso of Weslaco, Texas, born in Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Newton (Bud) and Lucille Newton (Lightbourne); her husband Julian C. Masso; her siblings, Betty Givens (John), Mellie Newton of Brownsville and Sonny Newton of Atlanta; and her daughter Charlene Meade (Gary) of Harlingen.

She is survived by: her children, Arthur Masso (Rosie) of Harlingen, Marty Masso (Beth) of Weslaco, Lucy Murphy (Tom) of Weslaco, Dolly Robertson (Lance) of Corpus Christi and Melissa Swanson (Robert) of Houston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 virus the family is having a private ceremony for immediate family members only.
