It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albina Benavidez of Weslaco, Texas, who passed away on October 13, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Napolean La and Maria Guadalupe De La (Acosta); her husband Cesar Benavides; and her brother Francisco De La Fuente. She is survived by: her children, Julio Benavides (Anna), Aracely Salazar (Juan Angel), Maria Guadalupe Benavidez, Gilbert Benavides and Juan Carlos Benavidez; her siblings, Elvira Hinojosa, Ofelia Navarro, Oralia Aguirre, Eleazar De La Fuente and Napoleon De La Fuente Jr.; and her grandchildren, Fernando Benavidez (Angie), Carlos Villarreal Jr., Rolando Villarreal (Veronica), Christian T. Mata (Casey), Gilbert Benavides Jr., Kaitlyn Benavides, Jason I. Benavides, Cassandra Peña (Ramiro) and Jeanette Garcia (Joe). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
