He is survived by: his wife Elida; his mother Maria Ramirez Perez (Ramirez); his children, Abelardo Perez Jr., Cynthia Michelle Perez Garcia, Elizabeth Perez Ramirez and Becky Perez Trinidad; and his siblings, Manuel Perez, Oscar Perez, Baldo Perez (Eva), Maria Elena Medina and Virginia Hernandez (Leonel).
