She was predeceased by: her parents, Hettie Jane (Barnett) and Fred Doss; her son James Derrell Thacker; her children-in-law, Billie and Mike Crippen; and her stepdaughter Shirley Sessions.
She is survived by: her husband Lonnie Ray Grumbles of Wells; her daughters, Joyce Crippen of Pollok, Sheila Thacker of Lufkin and Lisa Sherrard (Robert) of Pollok; and her stepdaughters, Marie Luce of Pollok, Betty Choate (Charles) of Texas City and Nancy Lou Lout of Lufkin. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
