She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Maurice "Jo" (Hannah) and Willie Samuel "Jack" Lott; and her husband J. A. Higgins. She is survived by: her sons, Gregory (Karen Higgins), Brian Higgins and Richard Higgins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Wells Building Fund, 629 Rusk Avenue, Wells, Texas 75976.
