He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgie Jane (Landrum) and Apostle Paul Shelton; and his sister Pauline Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Melba Shelton of Wells; his children, Irene Austin of Orange, Diane Nida of Santa Paula, Kathleen Murphy of Lufkin and William Shelton of San Diego, California; and his sister Vernell Faulk of Lufkin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-great grand children and numerous other relatives.
