He was predeceased by: his parents, Nezzie Ruth (Broach) and C. W. Higgins; his parents-in-law, W. S. and Jo Lott; and his sister Rosemary Sessions (Higgins).
He is survived by: his wife Kattie Higgins of Wells; his sons, Richard Higgins of Wells, Brian Higgins of Wells and Gregory Higgins (Karen) of Lufkin; his granddaughter Jada Higgins; his great grandchildren, Isabella Anderson and Madelyn Ferguson; and his siblings, Bobbie Thompson of Central, Carol Wood of Angleton, Larry Higgins (Carolyn) of Troup and Tommy Higgins (Doris) of Pollok. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
