He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Huntress and Katherine Rechin Huntress. He is survived by: his wife Vera Ward; his children, Mark Huntress (Debbie) of Wellington, Andy Huntress (Tita) of Amarillo and Tanya Ard (Lamar) of Missouri City, TX; and his brother Jim Elliott of Franklin, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to Beam's Bibles through the Calvary Baptist Church.
