It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Henry Ward of Wellington, Texas, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Raymond and Alice Mae Bruce Ward; his spouse Eddie Jo Roberts; his children, Deanna Jo Ward and John Wesley Ward; his children-in-law, Claudette Ward and Lonnie Dunn; and his sisters, Tommie Watts and Louise Powell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joye Weaver (Jim) of St. Cloud, MN, Lynna McMillian (Britt) of Carlsbad and Melissa "Lisa" Lewis (Jeff) of Carlsbad; and his siblings, Delores Patterson of Wellington, Vera Huntress (Tom) of Wellington, Glenna Fourmentin of Wellington, Adelle Barnett of Wellington, Sue Berry (Jim) of Amarillo and Bruce Ward (Lana) of Wellington. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 809 Floydada St., Wellington, TX 79095.
