He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin V. Atkinson and Cora E. Young Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Stewart; his nieces, Beverly Neeley of Wellington, Catrina Moody of Wellington and Barbara White of Amarillo; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jerry Wayne Henry of Memphis, Vanya Neeley of Wellington, Kevin McDanel of Wellington, Raquel McQueen of Memphis and Karen Keeler of Wellington.
