It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Clifton Cathey of Welch, Texas, born in Odonnell, Texas, who passed away on June 3, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Cathey (Hanes) and Tom Cathey; his wife Billie Cathey; and his siblings, Pauline Hughes and Thomas Cathey.

He is survived by: his children, Gene Cathey (Janice) of Amarillo, TX, Debra Taylor (Bobby) of Eufaula, OK and Donna Stone of Lubbock, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
