He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alice Doerfler (Homeyer) and Walter D. Doerfler; his son Daniel Pleas Doerfler; his brother-in-law Dave Jenny; his wife Paula; his children, Sharon Huck, Sydney, Bryce, Addyson, Don (Trudy), Ellie and Scott; his son-in-law Bill Huck; and his siblings, Sarah Doerfler, Jimmy (Lenora), Tommy (Karen) and Walter Jr. (Claudia). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Williamson Regional Animal Shelter or to Christ Lutheran Church.
