Votaw and Polenena Reiss Votaw; his wife Gertrude Hoffmann Votaw; his children, Pamela Hughes, Roger Hoffman and Richard Bjerke; his granddaughter Hope Votaw; his siblings, Elizabeth Kunchick, Hilda Tosco and Eugene Votaw; his brothers-in-law, Alfred Weber, Byron Emerson Johnston and Joe Kunchick; and his sons-in-law, Benjamin Spier, Roy Rau and Frankie Friemel.
He is survived by: his sister Elizabeth Votaw; his former wife Hazel Marie Alford; his grandchildren, Wendy, Gertrude, Ruby, Walter, Ed and Marilyn; his daughters, Tracy, Sherry Huebel (Ronnie) of Columbus, Margaret Spier of Lindale, Marilyn Kalinec (Walter) of Houston, Phyllis Koopmann of Lindale, Charlotte Rau of Tomball, Virginia Friemel (Ginger) of LaGrange and Lisa Moellenberndt (Frank) of La Grange; his daughter-in-law Phyllis Bjerke of Kountze; his sons, Edwin Michael Votaw (Bettye) of Arp and Charles Hoffmann (Barbara) of Temple; his son-in-law Tom Hughes of LaGrange; and his sister Dorothy Weber of West Point. He is also survived by 23 Grandchildren; 37 Great-Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
