He is survived by: his wife Lou Riemenschneider Gruetzmacher; his nieces and nephews, Curtis Gruetzmacher (Luana), Joe Reitz (Carolyn), Larry Gruetzmacher (Carol), Michael Loest (Joy), Destry Gruetzmacher (Pam), Darren Gruetzmacher (Susan), Carolyn Loest, Tina Bryant (Stephen), Jennifer Scotten (Paul), Jessica Wise (Danny), Leelynn Montes, Jan Myers and Dee Ann Danielczyk (Alan); his stepsons, Mark Migura, Carl Migura and David Migura; his nephew Clyde Loest; and his stepdaughter Carolyn Migura.
