She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Mathews and Louella Mathews; and her siblings, Charles Edward Mathews, Dorothy Jean Lane and Raymond Earl Mathews.

She is survived by: her siblings, Roy Ellington Mathews (Loretta) of Texas City and Nancy Lynn McKnight of Fort Worth; and her children, Lonnie Terence Jackson (Dewana), Karen Sue Dunlap, Debra Kay Hughes, Theresa Alain Jackson (Joseph) and Rodrick Jay Jackson (Sharon). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
