He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oda Owens and Lillie Victoria Bearden; his daughter Billie Jo Owens; his granddaughter Katrina Owens; and his sister Rovene Schafer.
He is survived by: his children, April Nompleggi (Robert), Kerry Owens (Tonya), Kris Owens and Kurt Owens; his sister Frances Little; and his grandchildren, Reilly, Caitlin, Valerie, Erin, Sarah, Kylie and Nicholas. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and numerous family members and friends.
