He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert O. Himel Jr. and Edna Handy Himel; and his brother-in-law Doyle Coats. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Mary Wylie (Jo); his sister Linda Marlene Himel Coats; his children, Robert Scott Himel (Barbara), John Edward Himel (Katie) and Rebecca Mary Himel; and his grandchildren, Trenton, Savannah, Madison, Nathan, Cameron, Scarlett and Mathew.

Flowers and Charitable gifts may be sent to the funeral home or to the American Cancer Society.
