She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Mayes and Helen Brock Mayes (Ken Watanabe); her husband William Whittington; her son Russell Greiger; her stepchildren, Larry Whittington, David Whittington, Kenneth Whittington and Elizabeth Dixon; her grandchildren, Amanda Combs and Donnie Whittington; her sister Anita Vaughn; and her sister-in-law Gladys Mayes.

She is survived by: her son Curtis Whittington of Dickinson; her brother Larry Mayes of Dickinson; her brother-in-law Sidney Vaughn of South Houston; and her grandchildren, David Dickson, William Dickson, Jessie Whittington and Wayne Whittington. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
