She was predeceased by: her son John David. She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Louise, Beverly Ann, Karen Lee, Jean Zophy of Webster, TX, Beverly Pierce (Lee Pierce) of Euless and Karen Burnell of Bedford; and her grandchildren, Madeline Grace Burnell, Jackson Todd Burnell, Luke Daniel Burnell and Zachary Lee Pierce. She is also survived by her parents, Clyde Willis Lord and Grace Stark Lord, her brother.
Nelda Zophy passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 88 in a local assisted living facility after several months of physical and mental decline due to Alzheimer's.
