She was predeceased by: her husband Alec Mendez; her parents, Ismael Marcos Ponce and Guadalupe Quevedo Ponce; her family, Ismael "Nip" Ponce, Raphael Ponce, Benjamin Ponce, Elias Manuel Ponce, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Annie Quintero, Maria, Carmen Ponce, Monica Balli, Barbara Farias and Jesse Ponce; and her daughter Maria.
She is survived by: her sons, Alec Mendez, Jr. (Connie Woodring) and Benjamin Mendez (Rosalia) of Navasota; her grandchildren, Fabian, Zachary, Alayna, Isabelle, Jonathan, Emily, Grace and Aaron; and her great grandchildren, Joshua and Santiago. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Queen. A rosary will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A vigil service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Queen of Peace Guadalupana Society or the Ladies Guild.
