He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Joseph and Susan Wolf Cavanaugh; his siblings, Clara Farr and Walter Joseph; and his son Louis E Cavanaugh Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Judy Anne Tisdale; his children, Laura and Kenny (Sharon); his sister Carolyn Marrero; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Hobby, Linda DeBorde and Barbara Cavanaugh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
