She is survived by: her former spouse Parker Lanier Cates; her husband Samuel Eustace Brooks, Jr.; her daughters, Jo Ann Walton, Monica Hasty, Deborah Trahan and Polly Richards (Scott); her stepson Guy Brooks; her grandchildren, Dee Dee Johnston (Troy), Christopher Heath (Debbie), Craig Heath (Veronica), Jennifer Eaves (Robby), Victoria Gary, Joseph "Matt" Hasty (Katherine Diershaw), Amber Friedman, Shawn Trahan (Tyler), Evan Richards and Julie Richards; and her great grandchildren, Nathan Johnston, Jacob Johnston (Sierra), Bryana Heath, Duncan Heath, Kayla Heath, Jordan Heath, Kya Eaves and Preston Eaves. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
