He was predeceased by : his parents, John Thomas Countie and Mary Frances McCarthy of Revere, Massachusetts.; his wife Pauline Oates Countie of Livingston and siblings Margaret Countie, Teresa Rolinger, Catherine Murphy, Marianne Kilcourse, Jack Countie, Joe Countie and Charlie Countie. He is survived by : his children, Kevin Countie (Debbie) , Karen Barnes (John), Eileen Johnston (Pete), Stephen Countie (Cindy), Catherine Devall and Constance Countie; his grandchildren, Julia, Brian, Amy Barnes, Hilary, Max Roeder, Abby, John Rutherford, Jr., Will Johnston, Don Swope (Holly), Kevin E, Aubrey and Daniel Ringer; Claire Bryant, Anna, Alan Kwok, John Devall IV, Allison and Nick Townsend and his great grandchildren, James, Margaret Rutherford, Aurora Townsend, Merrick Swope, Remi Swope and Paisley Ringer.
