He was predeceased by: his stepfather Harold Kinney; his father Larry Joe Hale; and his brothers, Jay Hale, Wayne Kinney and Patrick Kinney.

He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Hale; his children, Kyle Janseen (Chloe), Larry Joe Hale (Jeanna Lizana), Brianna Hale (Cody Wood), Robbie Hamilton and Devin Hamilton; his grandchildren, Gabe, Scarlett and Illaya Rose; his parents-in-law, Linda and Roy Michon; his brother-in-law Kevin Michon (Stacie); his mother Sharon Kinney; his siblings, Michelle Hale and Steven Hale (Mariah); and his stepsiblings, Kay Ellis (Greg), Robert and Richard Kinney.
