He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Rivera and Petra Rivera; his son Juan De Dios Rivera Jr. (Robert Rivera); and his son-in-law Junior Monsivais. He is survived by: his wife Anna Rivera; his children, Melinda Herrera (Jose Herrera), Angelica Rivera and John Angel Rivera (Jennifer Rivera); his grandchildren, Crystal Herrera, Diana Zapata, Ruby Salas (Stephen Salas), Tatiana Zapata, Levi Rivera and Mia Monsivais; his great grandchild Diego Salas; and his siblings, Pete Rivera, Ramiro Rivera, Charlie Rivera, Miguel Rivera, Ovidio Rivera and Juanita Flores. He is also survived by his family and the love he had for his grandchildren.
