He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Marie Rodaway Kelley; and his father James Kelley, Sr. of Kelley's Country Cookin'. He is survived by: his children, Joanna Kelley Richardson (Christopher) and J. W. Kelley III (Holley); his grandchildren, Kieghly Kelley, Kinley Kelley, James Kelley IV, Connor Richardson and Charlotte Richardson; his mother Betty Mae Kelley; and his siblings, Terri Foley (Bruce), Donny Kelley (Loretta), Ronny Kelley (Kim) and Robby Kelley (Gayla).

Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Forest Park East Funeral Home (21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598).
