He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest V. Esparza and Josefina G. Esparza; and his brother Ruben Alejandro Esparza. He is survived by: his wife Elvia Lopez Esparza; his son James Cain Esparza; his brother Ernest Jr. (Gracelita); his sister-in-law Rosemary; and also Joyce Esparza Yamada. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
