He was predeceased by: his parents, Erich Edward Late and Agda Late (Klaaman); and his brother Joe. He is survived by: his children, Christy (William Ryan Wilcox) and Erich; his wife Kimberly Glaus; his sisters, Liivi Yeomans (Jerry) and Luule Moreno (Rolando); his sisters-in-law, Sharon Late, Lynne Beitler (Bryan) and Julie Carson (Kenton); his mother-in-law Dorothy Glaus; and his grandchildren, Eric Mitchell, Aiden, Leandra and Eric Keith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
