He was predeceased by: his father Eligio Trevino Cortez Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Cortez (Sambrano); his mother Estela Cortez (Cruz); his children, Israel Xavier Cortez, Justin Michael Cortez (Victoria), Steven Alexander Ramirez (Elizabeth), Eligio Marcus Cortez, Julian David Garza Loera and Ariel Ann (Isaac Gonzalez); and his siblings, Albert Cortez (Veronica), Ricky (Angie Cortez), Chris Timothy Cortez, Sheila Garcia (Danny) and Melinda Cortez. He is also survived by ten loving grandchildren and numerous, nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
