He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Schelfhout and Anna Schelfhout (Bloch); his wife Gloria Schelfhout (Simons); his daughter Mary Jo; and his siblings, Gene, Richard, Rose Reetz (Gerald), Anna Marie Martin (Dave) and Lorraine Roepcke (Gary).
He is survived by: his children, Mike Schelfhout (Patty), Steve Schelfhout (Teresa), Karen Moe (Keith), Tom Schelfhout (Debbie), Amy Schelfhout (Homer Augustidakis), Sue Schelfhout and Patrick Schelfhout (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Jack, Jonathon (Ellie), Jennifer, Sam, Riley, Heather Hanawalt (Josh), Josephine Lackey (Nick), Tyler (Camila), Josie, Ashely (Brady Ethridge) and Drew; his great grandchildren, Mary Schelfhout, Ernest Schelfhout, Veda Schelfhout, Ryker Hanawalt, Ezekiel Hanawalt and Addison Ethridge; and his brothers, Jim (Arlene), Joe (Sue) and Sandy Schelfhout (Richard).
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Bernadette's Catholic Church.
