He is survived by: his wife Polly Highfill of Pearland, TX; his brother Don Highfill (Peggy) of Bridgeport, TX; his children, Vickie Cathey of Deer Park, TX, Carl (Debbie) of Cove, TX and Mike (Teri) of Pasadena, TX; his grandchildren, Brent Cathey (Nancy) of Bryan, TX, Chris Highfill (Katrina) of Deer Park, TX, Tiffany Bitter (Lance) of Needville, TX, Ryan Highfill (Ashley) of Deer Park, TX, Katie Highfill of Cove, TX, Chase Cathey (Megan) of Deer Park, TX, Ashley Breeding (Clayton) of League City, TX and Chance Brown; and his great grandchildren, Paige, Kayleigh, Maddie, Addison, Emerson, Kyler, Preston, Cora Lynn and Harper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.
