She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Devoe Sanders; her parents, James Chapman and Bessie Chapman; her siblings, Jack, Sam and Doris; and her son-in-law Bill Shanks.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Ann, Terri, Michael and James Dean. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
