She was predeceased by: her father Henry Grady Cornelius; her husband Joe Dale Nix; and her siblings, Henry Grady Cornelius, Jr. and Ella Margaret Cornelius Simms. She is survived by: her mother Katie Lee "Kate" Strain Cornelius; her children, Michael Nix (Terri) and Laurie Daugherty (Rob); her grandchildren, Matthew Nix (Denise), Mary-Katherine Bergman (Drew), Jonathan Nix (Christy) and William Daugherty; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Ben, Sam, Josiah, Ella and Charlotte Nix. She is also survived by her family as a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, and doting grandmother.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Calendar Newberry-Cumberland Presbyterian Church (1301 Newberry Rd, Millsap, TX 76066).
