She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Garrett and Emma Lou Garrett (Tinsley); and her daughter Sharon Owens-Wright. She is survived by: her children, Tony Owens (Stacey) and Deborah Anne Smith. She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous extended family members and friends.
