He was predeceased by: his son Charlie Glenn. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Howard (Jerry) of Bremen, KY and Kim Shelton (Chip) of Central City, KY; and his grandchildren, Ashley Hill (Ryder), Ariel Beck-Hill (Kelsey), Justin Gaines, Devun Gaines (Kirby), Wesley Gaines (Courtney), Jackie Watters (Chelsea), Jonathan Watters (Alana), Jordan Stewart (Billy), Edward Howard, L. J. Howard (Mark) and Julia Johnsen. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
