She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Boyce and Girard Boyce; her husband Colonel Anthony Lavite, Jr.; her sister Anne Onderdonk; her siblings-in-law, Charles Onderdonk and Mary "Honey Girl" Lavite Crovetto; her niece Mia Crovetto James; her stepson Captain Anthony Lavite; and her grandson Damon Pfaltzgraff.
She is survived by: her cousin Dr. Robert Furey; her nephew Eric Onderdonk (Kristen); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan, Connor and Gavin; her grandson Jason Pfaltzgraff (Whitney); her great grandchildren, Jared and Cooper; her granddaughter Aurelia; her great grandchildren, Dustin and Catherine; her granddaughter Karen Pfaltzgraff Ursino (Dan); her great grandchildren, Sylvia and Gina; her niece Cara Crovetto Vann (Greg); her great-nieces, Vivian and Catherine James; her great-nephew Garrett; her pets, Jackie and Jesse; her friend Vicente; and also Jeff James.
