With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Chandler Ames (Weatherford, Texas), born in Millsap, Texas, who passed away on May 1, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Amos Charles Ames and Artie Jewel Ames (Langley); his wife Rachel Ann Ames of Weatherford, Texas; his children, Craig Ames and Carol M. Sessum (Lynn); his grandchildren, Kayla Baxter, Kenzie Dewynter (Craig), Brice Baxter (Victoria), Teegan Gilley (Lane) and Dakoda May; and his siblings, Joyce Ames and Jerry Ames. He was also cherished by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Scottish Rite for Children's Hospital.
