He was predeceased by: his former wife Anne; and his sister Judy. He is survived by: his wife Linda Cooksey; his son Kyle Cooksey of Franklin; his grandchildren, De'Aysha, Shamarion and Corey; his stepchildren, Chris Scoggins (Michele) and Mandi Dietz; his stepgrandsons, Austin Scoggins of Weatherford and Paul Dietz of Weatherford; his niece Tisha Beaird (Larry) of Weatherford; his great-niece Emma; his great-nephew Jake (Maggie); his nephew Eric Robinson (Janet); his great-nephews, Austin, Caleb, Luke and Dexter of Emerald Isle, N. C.; his nephew Brady Robinson (J. J.); and his great-nieces, Lily and Violet of Denison.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Willow Park Baptist Church (777 Crown Pointe Blvd, Willow Park, TX 76087).
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in David's name.
