He is survived by: his mother Virginia Alta Newkirk (Davis); his siblings, Sherrill Jean Blakeley, Jo Jean Foster, Lavetta Ferguson, Lester Newkirk, Jr. and Barry Newkirk; and his sons, Stephen and Henry. He is also survived by two granddaughters; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the White's Chapel of Memories (130 Houston Ave, Weatherford, TX 76086). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Annetta Cemetery (2667 W Farm to Market 5, Annetta, TX 76008).
